An author needs feedback! I love the story
about one of my favorite authors, Armistead Maupin and how he used
feedback from one of his readers in his story. His story Tales of the
City was originally published in the San Francisco Chronicle as
a serial. One of the main characters is a transsexual by the name of
Anna Madrigal. A reader who was into Scrabble wrote to him that her
name was an anagram for A Man and a Girl. And he used it in the
story! Now, I'm not saying I'm going to use every suggestion. But if you're moved by something, ticked off about something, or just have a question, I'd love to hear from you! |
