Six Beer Theory -- Uncoolcentral.com presents Silver Lake 2000's Science Corner -- Absolutely hysterical pseudoscientific test of what happens when two horny straight guys drink a six-pack.
Queer Eye For The Straight Guy -- Like they need any more hype -- but it IS my favorite show and if you try to call me on a Tuesday night, at least you'll know why I'm not answering the phone.
Ghetto Fab Hairdos -- Ya gotta see this one!
Metrosexual Tarot -- I love it when authors and web designers manage to parody two things at once.  Brilliant and funny!
dahl.com  -- I loved Steve Dahl as I grew up around Chicago.  His website is fun, but for me, the main attraction is his wife Janet.  She's one hell of a good writer!  Follow the links to Planet Janet.
Rusty is Gay  -- an absolutely hilarious parody of those readers we grew up with.
Soda Pop Stop -- Ever drink Moxie?  Vernor's Ginger Ale?  Or Plantation Style Mint Julep soda?  You can if you visit this site.
CreateBands.com -- Very fun and LOUD page where you can create your own online band!
The Institute of Official Cheer "where old pop culture is subjected to our patented Re-Ionization Process, and converted into chipper, spiffy, feather-light postmodern commentary on commercial culture." In other words, it's an absolute scream!
Jump the Shark -- It's that pivotal moment when a TV show goes downhill.  It provided inspiration for my essay of the same name dealing with gay writing clichés.
Adam & Andy -- Charming and realistic comic strip about two guys in love.
American Science and Surplus -- more goofy science stuff than you can shake a stick at and dirt-cheap prices.  The descriptions of the merchandise alone are worth a visit!
Keeping Ken -- The gay man's first crush!
Ghosts of the American Prairie -- The title tells all!
Virtual Food Fight -- for the "Animal House" In all of us!

  Urban Exploration
Forgotten New York -- a fascinating look at lost structures and institutions> Updated twice a week.  Also available in a book.

Manteno Project -- a look at one of the largest mental hospitals -- now abandoned  Be sure to take a look at the haunting, strangely compelling Gennie Messages under Galleries
Built St. Louis -- interesting and insightful look at a city that has one-third the population it did in the 1950's -- and some of the reasons why
Forgotten Ohio -- I really have no connection to Ohio other than some cousins who live there, but this site is outstanding because the author/webmaster gives lots of history and background on his pictures.
Chuck's Photo Spot -- awesome site with great pictures but -- alas -- very little description,  Focuses on abandoned sites in the Chicago area.

Deadmalls.com  -- pretty much what it says.  Cool site.  I recently had an article published there about Brementown Mall in Tinley Park, IL.
