Thanks to all the readers who continue to write to me about the Paternal Instincts series - Paternal Instincts, Family Fiction and Thicker Than Water. It’s been more than three months since I posted the last chapter of TTW and almost two years before that since I posted the previous chapter.

It’s time that I put my intentions about the series in writing and in public.

I do not intend to continue the series in the near future.

With my father passing away, the loss of two pets within the last year and my intention to break into commercial freelance writing, I have no interest in continuing the series. I also have lost the motivation to continue this storyline.

I understand your frustration but I ask you to have a little sensitivity to my life situation. I'm not getting paid for this, and that my writing isn't such that it can be at the beck and call of my readers. I'm thrilled to have you along for the ride, but please cut me some slack and recognize that I don't walk away from a story just to piss off my readers.

I do know where the story is going and I have the plot outlined in my head. (PS: I never outline stories in writing.)

I will be writing and adding chapters to Cooksville Chronicles, Tales of the Northwoods and other projects.

So if you’ve been checking for a new chapter of TTW you can stop now. At least for the near future.

What’s ‘near future?’ Within the next year.
